Personal Statement
My goal for college is to find a school that will allow me to become not only a better athlete, but a better person. To me, the Division of the school does not matter. I want to run at a program that strives for their student athletes to make the best of themselves. I have always had a passion for running and can still remember the first day of practice that I ever had. I have striven to always be coach-able and be humble. I am looking at Army ROTC in college and decided to run Cross Country my senior year to help prepare for that, and to help me make the transition from the 400m to the 800m. As of 8/03/15 I am undecided on my major, but I have an interest in Foreign Relations/ International Govt/Politics. I was inducted into the National Honor Society, and I focus on keeping my grades up. Every year that I have run track I have been on a relay so I know what being part of a team really means. Not only have I had the opportunity to run on a varsity relay in High School, I have been trusted by my coaches to anchor the 4x400MR many times. Every day at practice my two key things are to be better than the day before, and to always give it my all. I pride myself on knowing that if my coach came up to me and told me that I would have to run anything from the 100 to the 3200 that I would do it no questions asked. I thank every coach that has viewed my profile for their time and interest, and I really hope that I can continue my passion for running at the collegiate level.
