Hey my name is Lester Walker III. Born in Youngstown, Ohio but grew up here in Columbus, Ohio. When I was younger I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome which is on the Autism spectrum and sometimes it effects how I interact/ communicate with other people. Some people may view it as a disability but I believe I wouldn't be myself without my diagnosis. Even though I will saying growing up it definitely made me an angry kid because I wasn't sure how to process my emotions, which is something I am still working out today. But if I am being honest, I was able to manage it a lot better once my mom put me in little league.
Football has always been an outlet for me to get out any angry or negative thoughts, I truly feel like myself when I am on the field. It is so much easier to connect with my teammates when we have the same goals of being the best that we can be while chasing our dreams. Football has taught me how to become a leader and how to navigate different hardships that I may face. I have learned how to become mentally strong without this sport and after all of the lessons this sport has taught me, I would be doing a disservice if I didn't give my all to this game. My parents believe that I can play at the next level & because of their belief in me and through my faith, I know that I will accomplish great things in life. Follow me on this journey over this next 4 years of high school!
