Personal Statement
My goal with my college education is to be able to help special needs children. I was diagnosed as a dyslexic at the age of 7 and struggled for many years to overcome many educational obstacles. Many therapists and teachers helped me along the way to achieve simple goals such as learning to read to more complex goals as I reached high school. I am a good candidate for your school because I try to work very hard to reach all of the goals that I set for myself and then move to reach even higher. I push myself so that I can reach my maximum potential whether in athletics or in the school setting. I have managed to maintain a very good grades while running cross country, soccer and running track and field events. This next year I will also be on the school's Blue Crew, pep squad for the varsity football team. To be on this squad you have to be in good academic standing, be nominated by your teachers and audition for the squad. I enjoy being involved on many levels.
