Personal Statement
I am looking for a college where I can compete at a high level, develop into a better person and player, build lifelong relationships with my coaches and teammates, and make significant contributions to the success of your program. My dream beyond college is to get drafted and eventually play in the Major Leagues.
I am confident I have a lot to offer your program as a left-handed hitter, corner infielder and corner outfielder. At the plate I hit for a high average, using the whole field and hitting for power. I have a very strong work ethic and spend a lot of extra time on improving all areas of my game.
My coaches have taught me the importance of controlling my emotions in difficult situations and have helped me develop mental toughness. Both my high school and summer teams have achieved winning records against top-ranked teams by competing hard, playing with confidence and toughness, and learning the value of situational hitting and defense. I am confident that these experiences against challenging opponents are preparing me to play at the next level in college.
Off the field, I enjoy spending time with my teammates, always supporting and encouraging them, and building strong friendships. I am looking to find a college program that feels like a family. I also take my academics seriously, with a 3.83 GPA through my sophomore year of high school, and I am looking for a school that has strong academics as well as a top baseball program.
