Competitive swimming has become a relatively new passion for me. While I have been swimming on and off for 8 years I didn't start spending a lot of time in the pool until 8th grade. I have always been a multi-sport athlete and I have continued that trend into high school by competing in both swim and track. I have not been swimming year round, but I maintain a high cardiovascular endurance by running track in the spring. I love competitive swimming because it allows me to drive myself everyday to get better and build a work ethic that is useful both in and out of the pool. I have been able to successfully balance both sports, honors/AP classes, and other extracurriculars because of my time management skills, leading to rewarding careers in all areas. My love of competition, work ethic, and optimistic attitude have set me apart from my competitors. My goals are to become the best swimmer I can possibly be, swim with equally driven team mates, and study at a school that excels in athletics and academics.
