While my passion for volleyball may not be unique compared to other candidates, I feel my discipline and motivation for progress sets me apart. I may have started later compared to others, but I have already made significant progress among my peers. I went from being introduced to Volleyball in Spring 2022 tryouts to being a starting Varsity middle hitter after only approximately 5-6 weeks of dedication. My key measurables also distinguish me from other players in my similar class. Genetically, I was given a big frame with a relatively above-average reach. This allows me to grow quicker as a middle hitter without the worries some newer players tend to have (such as not being able to jump high enough or having low court agility). Additionally, my academics set me apart from my peers and other candidates. I go to Saint Louis Community College (STLCC) full time for my school's dual enrollment program, I have a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.41, and an above-average ACT score of 33. After high school, I want to transfer to a 4-year college with my STEM Associates degree from STLCC and major in Engineering. I immediately fell in love with Volleyball after my first 2 weeks of playing; while I may have started later than most, I am motivated, and excited, to grow as a Volleyball player in my remaining high school years and beyond. I have the discipline and am more than willing to put the work in to realize my full potential among other teammates who have a similar passion for the sport.
