Personal Statement
I have never had anything handed to me in life, nor do I ever want anything handed to me. I believe that hard work and dedication is necessary to succeed in life. I have to balance a lot of different things in my life at one time. This includes sports, academics, and the JROTC program that I am enrolled in, not to mention my social life with family and friends. However, I don't see each day as another one to just get through so that I can move on to the next one. I see everyday as an opportunity to do something great. Every minute of the present effects every moment of the future, and I believe in taking advantage of every minute in a day.
Softball has been a part of me since I was 4, and since the first time I hit a small ball off of a tee and ran to first base slowly but surely, I fell in love with the sport. Challenges with sports usually don't scare me, they motivate me. I love to see how hard I can push myself to bring out the best athlete in me. Softball is something that has always been a huge part of my life. My sister played, and my dad coaches. I have always aspired to play college softball. It has been my dream since I was little, and I will stop at nothing to make sure I am able to fulfill that dream.
