Personal Statement
I started out playing baseball and switched over to softball when I was 7. I started pitching when I was 8 and have trained and become increasingly dedicated to pitching and the sport of softball ever since. My goal is to play softball at a competitive collegiate level while studying for a degree in a business or health related field. I am a multi-sport high school athlete in softball, field hockey and basketball. I have also played ice hockey and volleyball. Through my experience of playing a variety of sports, I have learned so much about teamwork, sacrifice and commitment.
Softball is my passion as it always makes me feel alive and free and that helps me be an aggressive and tough player while remaining coachable and a student of the game. I enjoy the teamwork, logic, strategy, athleticism and how the game is played. I have experienced many highs and lows and I have grown alot as a player over many seasons of rec, school ball and travel / club. I have chosen to remain with the same travel/ club team to experience the building of a team from the beginning. I am mentally tough and I stay focused and never let anything 'get in my head' when I am competing. I would be an asset to your team as I have a strong character and show courage and endurance in the face of a challenge. I was recently ranked #45 pitcher in the Extra Inning Elite national softball rankings for my class.
I am looking for a program that will allow me to further develop my character, courage, knowledge and teamwork skills.
