Personal Statement
Softball is a game I have loved playing for a very long time. I would like to think of myself as a fierce competitor and every time I step into the pitching circle, batters box or even just onto the field that aspect of myself is truly put to the test. Softball is a challenging game and because of this I find myself continuously making new goals. Whether it's improving my spin on a pitch or sharpening my mechanics, I am always looking for ways to be a better player. I believe that is the type of athlete I am. I believe that there is always room to get better, no matter who or where you are in your sport. It is my dream to play college softball because I want to continue my improvement, and I want to keep competing because they are both things I love to do. These aspects of myself also come through greatly in my academics. I have always been the kid who has been "up for the challenge" in regards to taking advanced classes and improving/maintaining my grades. I know I will continue these habits in college, and I believe I can make an impact on those around me whether it is my teammates, coaches, fellow students or professors.
