Personal Statement
"Excel in all activities with grace while performing with consistency - first in academics and then all else"
I have been playing softball competitively since I was 8 years old. Each year my skills and abilities progressively improved and I expect this growth to continue as I enter high school and then to college softball.
Each team looks for leaders to encourage the team as well as those players that easily lose focus. I believe I can be this person for college programs as I have consistently filled this role on each team I have played on. I am an unselfish team player that celebrates when my teammates succeed. As I step foot on the fields, I play each game with the expectation of winning - but do so with grace. I have found that mistakes are okay and make me a better player – as long as I learn from them and make adjustments to ensure they don’t repeat themselves.
I have always envisioned being an asset to a college softball program and strive daily in practices to meet this goal. More importantly, I take this spirit and competitiveness with me to each class room I attend in school. I realize and have consistently shown that academics remain my priority as they will tell the real story of my life.
