Personal Statement
My name is Gabrielle Franicevic. I go by "Gabby." I have dedicated the last 9 years of my life to softball. It has been a challenging road, but overall and with the support of my family, it has shaped me in to the athlete that I am today and the athlete that I strive to be in the future. From recreational ball to travel and high school ball, I've climbed the ladder and have had to prioritize and put in the hard work to accomplish my goals. I've had a few ups and quite a few downs, but it has built character by making me humble and respectful. Nothing has been handed to me, nor will I ever expect it to be. My philosophy is: Nothing worth having comes easy.
My passion and love for softball consumes a good bit of my time. There's not much room for a social life, and that's okay, because I can't imagine not playing softball. Being a successful athlete is a continual process that takes effort, time, and a positive mindset. Being part of a successful team takes all the above with the understanding that it's not solely about one individual athlete, but rather the entire team.
Education has played an important role in my life as well. Maintaining a high G.P.A. and being a positive role model to younger student athletes are very important to me. It would be such an honor to be part of a college and athletic program where I can continue my commitment to education and softball. If I am chosen to be a part of your college and athletic program, I will not take for granted the opportunity. I will give it my full commitment, remain open to learn and grow as an athlete, and seize the chance to build relationships and bonds that will leave an everlasting impact.
