I have been dreaming about playing softball at the collegiate level since I can remember. I’m working towards this major goal of mine, I have not only been working to better myself in just the athletic and skill levels of softball, but also knowing the game as well. In middle school I tried out for the Lady Tigers softball team. I worked so hard for them to tell me that they didn’t want me on their team. My freshman year of high school I moved to Washington Courthouse, OH. I had played summer ball recently and a lot of people realized that I was a decent player. I was really hesitant to try out for my school softball team because of what happened in middle school but my mom pushed me and told me that I shouldn’t throw away my potential. My coaches at my new school immediately told me that I stand out from the rest. My sophomore year was a struggle and I had lost a lot of friends because of my dedication to softball as I am always working on my skills and trying to better myself. I wasn’t sure if I was going to play, but my mom told me I had so much potential and she didn’t want me to throw it away. I decided to play my sophomore year. I was a starter, I pitched and played 3rd base. My coaches loved watching me hit, because I’m a decent batter as well. Although we struggled to win that season, we all learned that we have to work together, communicate on the field. and most importantly we’re all a family. Whether or not I get to live out my dream of getting to play softball at the collegiate level I’m still planing to go to college to major In criminology and/or criminal justice.
