Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. It is a game that I loved from the very start and fall more in love with each season. I believe that God has blessed me with the talent to play softball and I want to use my ability for his glory and not my own. One of the best ways I can do that is by playing college softball. It means a lot for me to step on the field and do something I love and at the same time give God the glory for it. I think I can bring some good things to a college program. I believe that as a player you need to first be a great teammate. A team is only as strong as its weakest player so it is important to always want your teammates to be the best they can be. I have great coaches who have always taught us to put each other and the team first. I would describe myself as a kind and humble player, but I also bring toughness and leadership to the field. I do not like to lose, but when it happens, it is important to have a good attitude. I was voted captain of my team the past 2 seasons by my teammates. I am a catcher and love being behind the plate, but I am proud that my coaches allow us to play different positions. I think I can help a program because I can play several positions well. I want to find a school where I can come and play hard for 4 years and help the softball program be successful. I am not only a hard worker on the field but I also work hard in the classroom. I am a straight A student and have been since I started school. My grades come before sports in my family and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to put the time and effort in to keep them up. I hope that I can use the talent I have been given in softball along with hard work in the classroom to pay for my college costs. I want to be a Physical Therapist, so I am interested in majoring in Exercise Science or a pre- physical therapy program. I am excited about continuing to work hard towards my goals. I know that this is just the start and I am ready for the challenge. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me.
