While I love all sports, I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old. I have always wanted to play at the collegiate level as my parents played college sports and I have seen how great of an experience it can be. I am a leader both on and off the field. Being on the student council (most recently as President of my sophomore class) has helped shape those skills. As a coachable and hard-working player, I strive to always do my best & welcome feedback whenever it is necessary. You will also find me regularly encouraging & cheering on my teammates. I feel a big part of what contributes to my success as a pitcher is that I am very even-keeled and do not get rattled easily.
While I love sports and consider myself a strong athlete I realize that my academics need to come first as I hope to go into nursing as a profession. I maintain good grades, am considered a leader in my class and am friendly to my classmates regardless of how well I know them. As shown by the multiple Christian character awards I have received, my faith is important to me and has served to help keep me grounded in an uncertain world.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit better. I look forward to the opportunity to play softball at the collegiate level.
