Personal Statement
My name is Malloree Simpson and I am a pitcher and 1st baseman. It is my biggest goal to play softball at the collegiate level while also getting a college degree. I began to play softball at age 9. I fell in love with the game and have always seen softball as a part of my future. Softball has taught me how to be a resilient, competitive, and determined athlete. These skills have also been valuable tools in other sports that I have played, such as soccer and volleyball. I have devoted countless hours into my softball career, not only with pitching, but also with hitting, base running, and over-all knowledge of the game. I am very focused on my goals and have worked very hard to get where I am today.
In addition to softball, academics have a big impact in my life. I desire to be at a college that will be academically challenging and push me to be the best student-athlete I can be. Although I have not decided on a main major, I am interested in criminology, forensics, and Spanish. I have always been a student in the top 10% of my class ever since 1st grade. I am currently taking AP classes. School has taught me many lessons that have played into my softball career, such as working hard, and being mentally tough. I am very competitive, but I am also coachable and a team-player.
