Personal Statement
My name is Sentia Bryant and after several attempts at other sports, I finally found a fit for an abnormally tall seven year old; Basketball! Over the years, basketball has taught me discipline, responsibility and how to work hard in everything I do. It also gives me the chance to earn a college education through the sport that has been with me through the past ten years of my life.
As a student athlete I know there are sacrifices. For example, I can't always do things that my non athletic friends do on the weekends or after school, but that's fine with me because I know I need to focus on what's important. Those sacrifices are a small price to pay compared to going to college and using basketball to do so. I know that I can bring to any college program that I may be apart of, a unique, dedicated, and coachable personality to not only basketball but my schoolwork as well.
Even though basketball does consume almost all of my life I enjoy playing volleyball for my varsity high school team, working out at The PITT( athletic training), drawing, and reading as well. I also have just recently discovered that I have a talent for digital photography and an interest in psychology which hopefully will lead to a career opportunity for one, the other, or anything else that catches my interest along the way!
