Naydelin Ruiz '24 Recruiting Profile

I’m Naydelin Ruiz, but I also go by Nay. I am a junior at Davies Career & Tech High School located in Lincoln, Rhode Island. I am the second child out of six, and I try my hardest to be the best both for my family and the sport I adore. Basketball wasn’t always my first choice I used to dance for about eight years, and then I finally decided that I wanted to be more than a dancer so I decided to put my all in basketball. Academically I put my all in school mainly because it is a big part of my athletic career. Without my good grades I possibly wouldn’t be able to find a good school of my liking. I take the highest taking classes they have a my school and I try my hardest to get  academic improvement. Even though I do like school, being in the gym has to be the best thing, I love working on and improving my skills. I like to see myself get better in the sport mainly because I came a long way from the position I was in a year ago. I find basketball my safe spot and no matter what I’m happy with it.
