I grew up playing various sports including softball, basketball, and swimming. I started playing golf in 2019 and really enjoyed learning the sport and started winning quickly in local tours. I have worked hard to get better and improve myself mentally and physically. I began playing varsity golf my 7th grade year as #3 and competed for the top two spots my 8th grade year, coming in as low scorer overall in several local matches. I also understand that without maintaining my good grades, it doesn’t matter how well I play, and that my schoolwork is key to having opportunities to play college golf.
My coaches have always told me I am always happy and smiling, and do a great job of encouraging teammates. I know how important it is to build up my teammates and for a team to play for each other and not just for the individual. I also understand that teammates push each other to do their best and help one another to prepare to play against the competition.
I am excited to continue improving my game through my high school seasons while working and competing year round in local, regional, and national tours. I think my personality, determination, talent, and strong work ethic will help me be successful and an asset to any team I play for. Likewise, I am looking for a team and coach that values building a strong team that works hard and plays hard together.
Outside of golf I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cheering for my younger sister in her cross country meets, and my younger brother in his football games. I also love music and have sung in the school choir in the past.
