Sophia Kuhns '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophia Kuhns. I play hockey and lacrosse for Lakeville South High School in Minnesota and will graduate in 2026. I played my first year of high school hockey in 8th grade (2021-2022) and was a member of the junior varsity team. The past two seasons (2022-2024) I was a member of the varsity team.  Upon the completion of the 2022-23  season, I was named the most improved player on the team and I was given the Lakeville South unsung hero award following the 2023-24 season.  In the hockey off-season, I participate in many camps, showcases and leagues, including the CCM High Performance spring festival, the fall Premier Prep High School Hockey League, Karn Skating Dynamics, OS training, Lakeville South summer training program, as well as attending numerous college prospect camps/showcases. 

As a player, I am coachable, very hard-working, willing to compete on both ends of the ice, and always looking for ways to set up my teammates with passes to create scoring opportunities. I am always looking for ways to improve my game and grow as a player. I am very determined on the ice and in the classroom. I am actively involved in extracurriculars including DECA, Faith Club, and volunteering with different events as a student-athlete leader.
