Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Madison Ellis. I am a senior at Susquehannock High School in Glen Rock, PA. I first picked up a lacrosse stick when I was eight years old, and have been passionate about the sport ever since. Since my first season, I have worked tirelessly to improve my skills. I have been to many camps and clinics and have played on a summer club team, the York Invaders, for four years. The hard work I have always put into the sport paid off in my freshman year when I was the only ninth grader to start on varsity for my high school team. In my sophomore year, I led my team in assists and was ranked third in York County for assists. Aside from my achievements on the field, I strive for excellence in regard to my grades and am involved in numerous extracurricular activities. In my sophomore year, I was ranked 25th out of 220 students in my class and maintained a 4.17 weighted GPA. In my junior year, I was ranked 27th out of 225 students and maintained a 4.18 GPA and also was inducted into National Honor Society. Some of my extracurricular activities include Class Council, Unity Club, Earth Club, and Concert Band. Outside of school, I am very interested in art and like to make and sell personalized accessories. Others would describe me as a diligent worker, a creative thinker, and a flexible person who is very easy to get along with. I hope that I can find a team that will be a good match for me.
