Hello, my name is Emily Kenyon. I live in Opelika, Alabama, I am 2022 Senior and attend Smiths Station High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I am in honors classes which include AP English, Social Studies, and Sciences. I am also in Beta Club.
I am a universal player. I can play all positions and have experience playing every position on the field. I am most comfortable as an attacking midfielder or forward.
I have received many accolades for my athletic abilities and teamwork. What makes me a good team player? First, I feel it is how competitive I am at soccer that makes me a good player! I love the game so much and I love to win, but I also like challenges and striving to accomplish goals. I understand that loss is a part of getting better as well. Second, I am a very good team leader. I have won awards for my leadership on the field and for being a team player. Finally, I love to help my teammates strive to be better on and off the field.
A little more about me is I work for Chickfala in Phenix City, Alabama. This opportunity has been a great learning experience for me . I have learned many new skills for dealing with others in general. I feel these skills can help me on the field as well.
I play Varsity Soccer for Smiths Station high school. Also , I play travel ball for Opelika Chrush in Opelika , Alabama . I typically play Center Foward or Center Mid, but as I mentioned have experience playing all positions on the field. The most important aspect of me which I want to communicate is I have a powerful commitment to sports. I am an athlete at heart. I love soccer. It is my one of my passions. I am a FCA leader (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at my high school in hopes my passion for God and sports will lead others with similar skills and passion to become an athlete and also to follow Christ.
