Dear Coaches,
My name is Sophia Weigt (class of 2025), and I plan to play college soccer. I love the game and have played competitively since I was 8-years old. I follow National, professional and collegiate soccer year-round. I usually play defensive midfield or center back. My strengths as a player start with physicality and vision, winning balls, and distributing to my teammates. I am excellent at reading the game, breaking lines, finding open spaces, and passing with precision weight and accuracy. I also take special pride in winning air balls, both defensively and offensively.
I play club soccer for Camarillo Eagles ECNL 2007. I am constantly trying to better myself by doing more than what is required, training with Phenom Sports Performance in my free time. I also play varsity soccer for Louisville high school in Woodland Hills, CA. As a freshman, I started and played every minute of the season. I was named Rookie of the Year and awarded All League 2nd team honors. My sophomore year I was awarded All League 1st team honors. As a Junior I was selected as a Team Captain.
I am just as dedicated as a student as I am with soccer. I currently have a 4.7 cumulative weighted GPA. In college, I hope to major in biology and plan a career sports medicine or physical therapy. I am looking for a 4-year university with strong academics and a competitive women’s soccer program. I hope you will come watch me play, and I look forward to speaking with you about your program.
Sincerely,
Sophia Weigt
