Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Elie Yates and playing college soccer has been a long term goal of mine since elementary school. I'm a smart, versatile, hard working player and I pride myself on my coach-ability and work ethic on the soccer field. I primarily play the 4, 5, or 6, but I've had experience playing  in other central midfield positions and out wide as an attacker or defender. I have great field vision, I can make smart, quick plays, and I work hard both on and off the ball. I try to be a leader on the field by communicating with my teammates and keeping the energy up during practice and games. Off the field, I carry those same values with me into school and the rest of my life. I'm taking multiple AP and honors classes this year and the next and I have a GPA of above 3.9. I'm versatile at school too, I'm interested in a variety of different subjects and want to further my education in every way I can to give me the most opportunities going into college and my future. I am currently interested in majoring the topics of marketing/business, health care, chemistry, or communications. I also exercise my leadership skills in my extracurriculars too, I am an editor on my school newspaper staff and I'm in charge of helping organize our reporters and stories so that we can publish quality work. I think my best qualities that make me a good member of any team is my versatility, my work ethic, and my leadership skills.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
