I play club for Eclipse Select North Black U17 this fall . While soccer is important to me, being an all around student athlete is even more important. This academic year I am enrolled in four AP classes and two Honor classes. My cumulative GPA is 4.3.
I attend ODP Midwest Region 2 ID camp in Saginaw Michigan in July 2019. This was my second consecutive year attending ODP Midwest Region Camp. Last year I was selected to the 2003 US Youth Soccer ODP Midwest Regional Pool Player list for the 2018-2019 season. I am on the ODP Illinois State Select '03 team for 2019 (two consecutive years).
In the spring of 2019, my sophomore year, I was a starter on Varsity Soccer for Elk Grove High School. I started at both Center Back and Center Defensive Mid. This past season, I was named First Team All-Area and to the IHSA Mid Suburban League All-Conference (MSL) team ( second year in a row). I scored four goals and seven assists. The past four years, I have participated in speed, strength and agility training at least twice a week in order to better my soccer game. I have been playing soccer since the age of five and I have played in variety of different programs from park district, competitive club, ODP Illinois State Select team and Midwest Region 2 ODP training. My primary position is Center Back, but I can also play Defensive Mid and Outside Back. I was selected to the Chicago Fire Juniors Select '03 team in 2018, this team consisted of 18 players selected from ten Chicago Fire Juniors teams across the nation that competed in the SC del Sol soccer Tournament in Phoenix Arizona Presidents Day weekend 2018. I was named to the 2018 ETP Fire Juniors All-Tornament team for this tournament. My future goals include attending a University where I can be challenged in the classroom and contribute in a competitive soccer program.
I give back to my community by volunteering with Special Olympics, which I have done over the past nine years and continue to do. I enjoy volunteering my time and coaching many sports such as volleyball, basketball, soccer and golf to young athletes who are involved with Special Olympics. I feel that it is important to be a role model and a positive peer mentor to others.
