Hi, my name is Christina Tobon. I started playing soccer when I was 3 years old. It quickly became a place where I could have fun and at the same time challenge myself to work hard in order to get better. From a young age, I aspired to play soccer in college and compete at a high level and I have realized the amount of work that takes. Soccer has made me an extremely hard-working and determined person wanting to achieve my goals.
In this process, I have learned to listen and apply the advice my coaches give me to get better making me extremely coachable. I am a strong and fast outside back who looks to make overlapping runs to help with the attack. I also think my enthusiastic personality helps me connect with my teammates and I look to encourage them to do their best so we can all get better. I see every practice or game as an opportunity to get better and I always want myself and those around me to give it their all so we can be successful.
Not only do I put hard work into soccer, but I work hard to be successful in school. I currently have a 3.98 unweighted GPA and am in all honors and high honor classes. I know that to be a student-athlete you have to work hard in both aspects and challenge yourself. I am looking for a school that balances both the athletic and academic side because both are important to me.
