Malina Ane '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Malina Ane. I am currently a Sophomore at Danville Community High School, in Danville, Indiana. I am a 15-year-old attacker(striker or left-wing). I was rostered for my first and second varsity season as a starting left winger and was honored to be named 2nd Team All-conference my first year and 1st Team All-Conference my second year. In my 2023 season, I got Girls All Hendricks County 1st Team along with making it into the Indy Star. I was recognized as a versatile attacker with 22 goals and 11 assists this season. I have played soccer for as long as I can remember. I’ve practically been playing since I could walk. Since then I fell in love with the sport and have played ever since. 

My goal for soccer is to play at the collegiate level. From playing Rec league to club, and starting varsity as a freshman and sophomore I have learned a lot. I currently have a 3.7 out of 4.0 GPA, and I always have to get all my work done for my academics before I step on the field. In 8th grade I was also a member of the National Junior Honors Society, volunteering our time to the community. In school, I work very hard to keep my grades up and have gotten many academic awards and 2 student of the year awards. 

I also currently play with the Indiana Olympic Development Program (ODP). This year (2023-2024), will be my third year in ODP. This has helped me to realize that I am a leader and very vocal on the field. Realizing that soccer isn’t just fun, but very competitive.From not only learning more about the game but also the speed of play at a collegiate level. 

My high school team went 11-5-2 in our regular season and 6-1 in conference this year. I am excited to see where my future goes in soccer and am willing to work hard to get there.
