I would like to introduce myself! My name is Elizabeth Collier. I am 17 years old. I play soccer for Daviess County High School in Owensboro Ky. I have played on my high school team since I was in 7th grade. I was the caption of the JV team my 8th-grade year and became a starter my freshman year. I also play club for Owensboro United.
For as long as I can remember, soccer has always been my passion. I started playing in recreational leagues at the age of three and started playing more competitively when I was around 10 years old. It would be my dream to play soccer in college and to have a community that I know will be there for me throughout my college experience.
An asset I can bring to any team is willing to always strive to do my best no matter what and always give 110%. I am fast and have good ball handling abilities. I also train in the winter and play indoor at Sportstutor here in Owensboro. I have been on a three-time National Futsal championship team. I also enjoy playing tennis and I ran track my freshman year.
In the classroom, I take my school work very seriously and strive to maintain a high GPA. As a junior, I am enrolled in the Early College Academy where I am offered to take all my classes at Owensboro Community and Technical College and will finish my senior year with my high school diploma and my Associates Degree. This opportunity has shaped me and helped me to push myself even harder academically than most other high school students. I plan to continue my academic plan as a Pre-Med student and to graduate and apply to medical school and in the future become a Pediatrician. I am involved in clubs like Key Club, FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and NHS.
I am considering universities that are a good fit for me academically. I am hopeful to play soccer and if it works out, that would be excellent! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I hope to continue my academic and soccer career at the college level.
