Personal Statement
My goals in college are to first get a great education and second play soccer on a Division 1 team where I can make a contribution to team success and make lasting memories and friends. My goal is to be a pharmacist but I'm also looking forward to the new experiences I will have in college that could lead to other opportunities. I am a starting center defender for my ECNL club team coached by Doug McLagan. I play mid-field in high school for a challenge playing a different position and to get more touches on the ball from a different perspective. My freshman year I started each game and was honored with 1st team All-State and 1st team All-Conference recognition and was named to the LJW All-Area Team. Our team went on to be Kansas Regional 5A Champions. I am a hard worker and work to excel in any situation I am in. I am willing to do what it takes to be successful in soccer and in school. I try to learn from every experience, class and training session. I believe it is important to keep a positive attitude. One of my strengths is how I talk to my teammates and direct our play based on my view of the field from the center back position. I am looking for a college that is a great fit for my personality in the classroom and on the soccer field where I can reach my goals in education and soccer.
