Personal Statement
I am 16 years old, 5'4 and weigh 135 pounds. I am a fairly fast runner, and an experienced distance runner. I have been playing soccer for a good ten years of my life. I have played all the way up to the level that I am at now. My freshman year I made the varsity team, and was frequently substituted in and out. My sophmore year I was on the varsity team and began to start in the games on right outside mid-field. This year, my junior year, I have began to play multiple positions;right mid, left mid, right back, and stopper. Playing all these different positions has increased my playing abilities. Although I am not yet a team captain, I play a large roll of leadership on our team. I make sure all the equipment is always brought to the field and taken off the field. I have always had a passion for soccer. It is every soccer player's dream to play on the "Dream Team", and the dream team for me is a college team.
The school that I would prefer to go to for college is Boston College. I am very familiar with the Boston area, and really enjoy large cities. Boston College is also a very good school, and from what I have heard, quite difficult to get in to, but what other people have to say about that isn't going to make me stop chasing my dreams.I am most definitely open to any division 1-3 school, I like to have large competition and like to be challenged when it comes to competing in sports. I am not really set and stone with what I would like to major in yet, but I have an idea that I would like to go into Journalism. To play on a college team as a freshman, is definitely a goal I would like to accomplish. I wouldn't expect to start, but I would expect to be played to show that I can make a difference. When and if there is something that I do wrong, then I will make an effort to improve upon myself.
