Second invitation to train with the Southampton FC Academy. The Camp replicates the coaching philosophy of Southampton Football Club’s World-renowned Academy, known for consistently developing globally esteemed talent. The camp is a fully authentic experience, delivered by academy staff. All attendees experience a holistic week-long training program that covers all aspects of player development for full immersion into the Southampton Way. To add to this experience I had the opportunity to attend matches for the Women’s Euros, being hosted by England with games to be played at St. Mary’s the home of Southampton Football Club. I saw Northern Ireland play both Norway and Austria

"Great work at the clinic. You have good close-down speed with your 1 vs. 1 defending and communicated well in the back. Continue to work on your first touch especially as it pertains to taking the ball out of the air. Also, continue to work on your speed of play out of that back - trying to play in 2-3 touches if possible just to keep the rhythm of the game at a high level and so that you don't get caught on the ball. Sometimes it is about just playing the first thing you see and trying to connect that pass out of the back. All in all, great work."

Southampton Football Club Player Development Camp

Southampton Football Club, along with partners Elite Tournaments and Under Armour, selected 45 players from The Southampton Cup in Baltimore based on Technical Skills and Abilities, Leadership and Attitude, and Advanced Knowledge of the Game. Players experienced a holistic week-long training program that covered all aspects of player development for full immersion into the Southampton Way. In addition, the girls played and won two matches against the Winchester Academy team and the Portsmouth Academy team.
