Roisin Kennedy '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing recreational Soccer at the age of six and my first completive team was Plantation Eagles based in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

I moved to Columbus Ohio in 2015 where I joined Classics Eagles and made the travel team. From there I played with Barca Academy Columbus and in the fall of 2020, I joined Ohio Premier Soccer Club ECNL RL and this season 2020/2021 I will be playing on the ECNL team as a midfielder. I am a Junior at Olentangy Berlin High School and Captain of the Varsity Soccer team playing attacking midfield.

I have played #2, #6, #9 and #10, however, my preferred position is attacking midfield. I lead by example as a player and encourage my teammates to train hard and learn from our mistakes to be better athletes.

Team chemistry is very important to me where I like to connect with all my teammates. I’m a very competitive person even at a young age and I continue to develop my skills to become better and stronger throughout my career and pass that positive influence on my teammates.

I continue to work hard to ensure my grades are maintained at a high level so I can reach my aspiration of playing Division 1 or 2 Collegiate soccer and majoring in Sports Medicine when I complete my studies.
