Since I took my first small steps onto the soccer pitch at three years old, my life and passion became soccer. Joining a club team at seven, I learned how to be dedicated and teamwork. This is where I realized the depth and amazingness of this sport. That it's not about kicking a ball around, it's about hard work, dedication to your team and teammates, and striving to succeed.
Starting in seventh grade, I explored track and field. This broadened my athleticness and helped me improve as an athlete in so many new ways. I've used my leadership to help my team win conference from 7th grade up to 9th grade. I learned how to be a team player as well as a leader.
My journey as an athlete has not been without setbacks though. In my freshman preseason, I dislocated my kneecap and was out for the season. This was a huge test on my mental and physical strength. I persevered and came out stronger than ever becoming a starter in the next season.
I am ready to take on everything that comes my way with my lessons from soccer, track, and my injury. My experiences have shaped me into the hardworking, resilient, and strong individual that I am today.
