Personal Statement
I used to think I had a love-hate relationship with soccer because there were days that I would just sit at school waiting to go home so I could run to put my cleats on and go to practice, but then there were the days that I would come out of practice crying and ready to give it up all together. Eventually though, I realized everything that made the bad days bad had nothing to do with soccer itself but with me and the atmosphere I chose to surround myself with. I'm looking to play collegiate soccer with a team that is going to accentuate the parts of the game that I love. I love getting to grow individually as a player, not only physically and technically but also mentally. I love playing against teams and individuals that are going to challenge me and push me to leave everything on the field. I love having teammates that at the end of the day are really family. I love those finals games that go into over-time and then eventually pk's and you're playing with all the pressure building up by the minute. I love soccer; and just like any relationship, this relationship has had highs and lows and it's taken a lot of time to get it to where it is now but I'm excited to see how it grows as I go through this recruiting process and all the way through college.
