Personal Statement
My name is Julia Fecteau and I am a well-rounded student athlete with a team-first mentality. I am extremely committed to soccer, and have 5+ years of competitive club soccer experience. As a midfielder, I focus on ball distribution, field vision with an attacking mindset, and creativity out of the midfield. I have had a very successful experience with my high school program, making it to the Oregon 5A State Championship in 2014 and the Oregon 5A State Semi-Finals in 2015. This year, I am a senior and captain of my high school team, providing leadership and commitment on and off the field.
Academically, I have a 4.3 Weighted GPA and volunteer at my local Humane Society as well as Youth Camps for my club soccer program, Bend FC Timbers. I am looking to attend a competitive school to pursue professional career goals, and I am interested in getting a degree in Biology or Pre-Medicine.
Most importantly, I love the game of soccer, and have ever since I was young. Wether it's watching my favorite professional teams (Liverpool FC and Portland Timbers) or just kicking around in my backyard, soccer is a fundamental part of my life that has challenged me to constantly be a better athlete and a better person.
