Personal Statement
I started playing when I was 11 years old. I know that is not a normal age to begin to play a sport, but I started playing and I instantly fell in love with the beauty of soccer. From the first time I put on my cleats, shin guards, and gloves, I knew I wanted to play soccer in college and beyond. I know that it is really hard to get there, but I'm determined. When I play soccer I don't just play with my heart, I play from the depth of my soul. I followed my heart, stayed true to soccer and was accepted to West Virginia University Institute of Technology as their starting Goalkeeper in 2018, I was Denfensive Player of Week for the River States Conference 3 times in the season and Athlete of the Week for the college.
I am a hardworking goalie who is determined to be the very best. I play with integrity, sportsmanship, and the strive to bring the team to victory. I am a team player.
I don't know what other recruits bring to the table, but I know what I bring to the table, the desire to help make not only myself, but the team, better and stronger. I work hard in the classroom to make sure that I am passing above the rest, and to keep me able to play. If there is one thing I've learned from AFJROTC, it is that you cannot be a leader until you've been a follower. You can't just force a change and expect people to trust you, you have to earn their trust and make sure not to break it. You have to lead by example.
