Demme Hancewicz '24 Recruiting Profile

   I have been a multi-sport athlete for as long as I can remember. I started running, cheer, and gymnastics at a young age. When I was ten my friend in gymnastics started swimming and I wanted to give it a try too. After my first practice I will never forget telling my mom to sell my leotards, and that I am sticking with swimming forever. 

  Being a multi- sport athlete has kept me very busy. Along with swimming I also do cheer and track. I have a pretty grueling schedule but would have it no other way. I have grown up always being so busy and on the go. With my high school career rapidly coming to an end quicker than I can imagine, I can’t see life without swimming.  I have worked so hard for all these years in hopes of  swimming at the next level. 

  I consider myself to be a type A person. I pride myself in making sure I am working the hardest I possibly can not only in athletics but in the classroom as well. I take school very seriously and, hope to pursue a law degree in college. Challenging myself both in and out of the pool has prepared me to take my athletics to the next level.
