Maya Hentges '25 Recruiting Profile

I started swimming competitively 7 years ago. I love the environment and energy that being on a team creates. I also enjoy all the hard work and time that has to be put it because you know you’re going to get something out of it if you do it right. Aside from swimming being my favorite sport, it is my favorite activity. If there is one thing I could do every day it would be swimming. Growing up in Minnesota I have always been near water and swimming just makes me happy. Besides swimming year round I lift all year through high school strength training program. On the academic side, achieving above average grades is important to me. Like swimming, I like to put effort into my schoolwork because effort causes a good outcome. I would like to attend a school that will allow me to reach my academic goals as well as my athletic ones.
