2021 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I started swimming in February of 2019. I was a gymnast, but an injury ended my career. As soon as I started swimming, I knew I had to learn quickly and make up for what I had missed. This was difficult, especially with the covid lockdown. Despite this, I was able to push through and not only catch up with people in my age group, but rival them. I will continue to push myself as I have always done, and achieve my goals of college swimming. I have learned how to adapt to any situation, as well as what the true meaning of perseverance is. I have taken these lessons beyond swimming and put them into my academics. I look forward to going into the medical field, studying critical care and trauma surgery.
