My goals for my freshman year were to make Junior National cuts and I made the cuts for Speedo Winter Juniors, NCSA, and Futures.
My goals for my sophomore year were to make a Speedo Summer Junior National cut and qualify as a Scholastic All-American. I ended up being All-American in the 100 backstroke and being Scholastic All-American. I qualified for the summer jrs in the very last meet of my long course season.
My goals for my Junior and Senior years are to make finals at both Winter and Summer Junior Nationals and qualify for the Olympic Trials.
I started swimming when I was 8 and new right away that I was meant to be in the water. As time went on I questioned how much I really wanted to do this sport because it requires so much and I have to travel so far to train. After taking some time off after 7th grade I realized that I really loved swimming and needed to see what I could accomplish in the sport. I am determined to do my best, be balanced, and keep pushing myself. I am naturally a backstroker but love to compete in freestyle and IM events as well.
