I would like to play college tennis for a number of reasons, including that (1) I enjoy the sport and want to continue to play and improve; (2) I love the team aspect of college tennis and want to be a part of it; (3) I like the structure that playing college tennis will provide, and the discipline that it will require.
I think two things make me a particularly attractive recruit. First, I am tall, strong, fast and athletic and, until very recently, played all kinds of sports, including soccer, basketball, track and softball. I think those sports have made me a well-rounded athlete, which in turn has helped my tennis significantly. Second, I am a relative late-comer to tennis. While I have dabbled in tennis for many years, I did not concentrate on tennis until recently (late 2021/early 2022), so I have a lot of room to continue to improve and develop. I think those two things will allow me to continue to improve dramatically throughout college. I already have seen significant development and improvement in my game over the past year, and I am dedicated to continuing that for the remainder of my high school career. But I also believe that, with the high-level coaching and additional practice time that college tennis provides, that improvement could be exponential in college.
