Throughout my whole life, I have striven to be the best that I can be in anything I sign myself up for. Never have I taken the easy road when it comes to my sports, extra-curriculars, or academics. I plan to continue this dedication in college and accomplish all my goals. Not only do I want to run for the best,  but I want to be challenged in my academics as well. I was never a phenom athlete or student naturally, but I have gotten myself to this elite level by all the work I put in.  In middle school I was lapped by the girls that I can beat by 2 minutes now. I never tested into the higher level academic programs, but once I got the chance to sign up for myself, I've been one of the most successful students in the classes ever since. None of this is a coincidence, as my teachers, coaches, and family see first hand the blood, sweat, and tears that I put into everything in my life, giving me these results. If I were to be a part of your team, I can promise that no matter the day, time, or weather I will run as hard as I can for you without any complaints. I will be a leader, and try to keep the team positive, and competitive every day in practice or races. When the team is stronger together, than it's a lot easier to run better. After a while I've realized that It's a lot easier running for other people than just yourself. I alone am not worth all that pain, and I will do anything I can do to for you and the team. What makes me different from most elite students and athletes, is that I fell in love with all of it before I even began to have success with it all. I loved to run when I was slow, and I loved to learn when I didn't know the answers. I didn't develop my passion by falling in love with the attention and success. I don't care if I start out as one of the slowest runners on the team because I know that it won't stay that way long.
