I played competitive tennis for 7 years as a teenager. The spring of my sophomore year I decided to stop playing tennis to pursue running competitively because it was one of my passions. I excitedly began my running career for the first time ever with cross country in the fall of 2015 at Wakefield High School. I fell in love with cross country, and finished with a 19:48 PR for a 5k and number one female in my school. My love for running and competing carried over into indoor track and now outdoor. It's amazing to me how I can love cross country and track equally. My collegiate goals are to run track and cross country, and also to maintain my high academics that are currently present. I have the diligence, hard work, and perseverance to excel in both academics and athletics in whatever college I attend.
