Personal Statement
I ran competitively for two years before high school with the local city youth program. When I started again for the first time in the spring as a freshman I truly fell in love with the sport. I learned so much more about the sport through my coaches and my team mates.
I am very powerful out of the blocks and throughout my entire race. I have the ability to learn new things quickly which help me tremendously in my hurdle races! I also enjoy watching myself improve throughout the season.
I am very determined to do my absolute best, on the track as well as in the classroom. I study my hardest in all my classes, although I always see room for improvement. I am my own toughest critic, although my mom holds a close second :)
My dream is to attend a college where I can study to become successful in life and continue to do what I love on the track. I hope to accomplish all that I possibly can.
