As a child I was always full of energy and very athletic. My parents put me in gymnastics which helped me focus my energy and learn to be part of a team, it showed me the importance of being encouraging to my fellow teammates. It not only helped me grow as an athlete, but also helped my fellow teammates grow as well. I was young and didn't fully understand the effect this would have on my life. Looking back, I now realize that it taught me that it takes passion to do something well, but also to keep going when things don't go the way I planned. At the age of 13 I started to get serious about volleyball and once I stepped on the court I knew that's what I wanted to more.
My journey in volleyball began my first year of high school, and I quickly fell in love with the sport. I've always loved a challenge and give it my all, I push myself to be the best I can possibly be and I strive to learn from my mistakes also critiques from my coaches. Over the years, I have worked my skills through many practices, I'm driven to improve and contribute to my team's success. My commitment to the sport is reflected not only in my dedication and love of the game, but also in my academic pursuits. I understand the importance of balancing athletics and academics, and I am fully prepared to excel in both areas at the collegiate level.
