Hi Coaches! I really appreciate you taking the time to view my recruiting profile. I understand that you have a lot of prospects you are looking at and reviewing, so thank you for the opportunity to be considered for your roster!
I have been active in sports all of my life. I have been involved in volleyball, basketball, softball and competitive swimming, however, volleyball has always been my favorite and what I enjoy the most and therefore devote majority of my time to. I have played volleyball since I was nine years old and loved every moment of it. Volleyball has taught me many life skills like leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, mental resiliency, time management, patience, hard work, and many more. I have learned to be humble and a hard worker. One skill I value above all else is my attitude. I see the importance of giving my all in every aspect of the game, whether it's learning a new skill or cheering my team on. As a setter, I understand the importance of helping my teammates and doing everything within my power to give the best opportunities for my team, especially my hitters, to succeed. This is a very significant role as a setter. It isn't about me getting the spotlight or winning the point but setting my teammates up for success. When I can't control how my team is playing or how the game is going I focus on what I can control, my attitude and how I lead the team. I try my hardest to keep a strong positive energy that my teammates can feed off of. I have been the captain for most of the teams I have ever been on and I take that role very seriously. I make sure to build a relationship with each of my teammates and be someone they can trust and rely on, not only as a setter but as a captain, teammate, and friend.
I have a great passion for volleyball, it is a huge part of my life and I would love to continue my volleyball career through college. I am mainly looking to go to a Division II, NAIA, or Junior College. I am a 4.24 GPA student and plan to pursue a degree in Education and become a teacher. I enjoy working with people, especially kids. Thank you again and I am looking forward to learning more about your school and program!
