Mikayla Moynihan '24 Recruiting Profile

Thank you coaches and staff for taking the time to review my information on NCSA.  My name is Mikayla Moynihan and I am 17 years old.  I attend Pacifica Christian High School Santa Monica, CA and I am a junior.  I've been playing volleyball since I was in the third grade and I love it.  I currently play Club volleyball for San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club and I have played varsity volleyball for the past 3 years at school.  I've played on my school's beach volleyball team as well.  I love being a scholar athlete and I work hard to keep my grades up.  My current weighted GPA is 4.17.  I want to study math or one of the sciences in college.  I'm thinking about nursing school or physical therapy.  I enjoy being challenged in the classroom and on the court!

As far as my Club team goes, I started on the Lightning team and earned a spot on the Thunder team.  In order to move up I had to get stronger so I started working out with Coach Bryan Felix who developed a great weight training and agility work out for me.  I have also taken private hitting lessons with Coach Jimmy Lo.  I play as an OH but can definitely play all around including as a DS.  I enjoy playing on a team and learning from others.  I am dedicated and driven to excel.

I want to play volleyball in college.  I can manage a rigorous academic schedule and volleyball.  I am a team player and willing to do what is best for my team.  I take volleyball very seriously and I am a leader on the court and in the classroom.  At my Junior High School graduation, I was awarded the "Life Long Learner" award.  I am really excited to keep learning in the classroom and on the court!
