Personal Statement
The highlight of my high school career so far would have to be going to state and breaking my school's seasonal ace record as freshman. Being the only freshman on the team, it forced me to reach a level that at the time I didn't know I could reach. I am lucky to have a program that not only cares about the player, but cares about the person inside of the player. They have helped me discover who I am as both a person and an athlete and how to know myself so that I am able to lead others.
On any sports team, leadership is a quality that must be present in order for success. Throughout my volleyball career, I've learned not only how to lead and help others but also how to lead myself as a player and as a person. One thing that I have that I feel is important is the passion and drive for this sport. I leave everything I have on the court and I feel like that is one of the things that makes me a great player. Every point is a new chance and every mistake is an opportunity to learn and improve. While athletics are important to me, academics are also very significant. One of the goals that I have for high school is to have a GPA of 3.6 or above. I hope that I am able to find a school that will fit me both athletically and academically. While I believe I have the skill to play at a collegiate level, I also believe that I have the leadership, character, passion, and drive to influence and impact your program.
