Ashley Mendoza '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal in life is to play college volleyball as well as study architecture. I look forward to the challenges on becoming a student-athlete and the challenges in the game. I have been playing volleyball ever since I was 11 years old and I instantly fell in love with the sport. Not only do I love the sport but I love meeting new people and creating new bonds with teammates. I am very competitive when it comes to challenges and I will do anything it takes to accomplish my goals. I push myself and teammates to be the best they can be and encourage everyone to stay positive no matter what the circumstance is. I feel that I can be different just based on the way I can manage school, volleyball and work without feeling stressed over not having time for anything else. I tend to feel happy and at peace when I finish homework or when I finish a work out, I feel better about myself and more motivated. I push myself to be the best I can be with the support of my family and friends. I am very appreciative for the way my family got me to be where I am today, and I couldn't possibly take all the credit.
