Personal Statement
I am a freshmen at Saint Joseph's College who on February 3, 2017 announced closure in May 2017. This now leaves me with trying to find another home and program to enter in the fall of 2017. During my freshmen year at SJC I was a starting middle hitter, playing 30 matches, accumulating 129 kills with a .179 hitting percentage. Although our team was young we had so much potential and I was looking forward to what the next 3 years at SJC had in store for my team and I. I'm currently searching for a new program to join where I can continue to fulfill my dream of playing collegiate volleyball.
I am a very competitive, intense and focused player. I communicate well with my teammates and encourage team unity. In order to play at the collegiate level, I have worked hard on and off the court to try to improve my skills that are needed for college level play.
While in high school, I led my team in kill percentage with 50% and a hitting percentage of .357% (ranking #9 in the conference). I was also named 1st team all conference, and nominated to try-out for the junior all star team. I was a three-sport athlete along with playing club volleyball while maintaining a 3.61 GPA. I believe my hard work, ethics and dedication on and off the court would be a great asset for any college level program. My career goal is to become a physical therapist and I'm looking to entering an exceptional exercise science program. Along with obtaining an exceptional education, my dream is to join another amazing volleyball program!
