Alissa Menefee '25 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Alissa Menefee and I am a 5'9 Setter/Hitter junior class of 2025 graduate. 

I have been playing volleyball for 7 years now and have loved it since the first day when my mom signed me up for a starter camp! I love the competition, being part of a team and striving to learn, grow and improve in the sport. I have a desire to play at a very high level in college and am willing to put in the work to help the team in any way I can. I am a unique player and offer multiple options to any team. I have always been a setter and hitter at 5'9" and run both 5-1 and 6-2 systems. I am also a very strong right side and outside hitter with power given an approach touch of 9'5" and standing touch of 9' and I know by next year I can get to 9'6" for my approach. This allows me to be an asset as a blocker on the front row too. Playing multiple positions and learning to run the court as a setter has allowed me to build a strong volleyball I.Q. but I love to learn and I am very approachable and coachable. 

Education also is very important to me and after playing on multiple National travel teams, High Performance teams, driving an hour (sometimes more) each way to club practice I have learned to juggle both school and sports while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. I also love to have balance off the court and enjoy spending time with friends at the lake or watching movies. Overall I want to push myself to become the best player I can while making the most of the college playing and learning experience.
